Photography Blur 52 Week Challenge

Hello! My name is Kristi and I'm setting a resolution to challenge my interest of photography in 2011. It also is a clever way for me to rationalize the expense of my new carema that I bought this fall. I searched the net for some photography challenges. There were ones for the very committed (365 Projects in which you take photos everyday), for the pretty committed (52 Week Challenges, theme each week) and some for the much less committed.
I stumbled across a blog by Brook over at Shutterboo that has made up her own 52 Week Photography Challenge. She's putting up a list for 2011 on Dec. 29th and each week she chooses at random a theme for the week. As part of the challenge, you come up with something to shoot and post it to the flickr group associated with the challenge.
I checked out a bunch of sites before I decided to take on Shutterboo's challenge over the rest. Her blog has a previous 52 Week Photography Challenge (dated Aug '09 to Aug '10) and she had an array of different themes that were a little bit more "outside of the box" than other challenges of seen. Plus she has a very relatable blog voice that's fun, interesting and she seems like a regular person with a passion for taking pictures (not some fussy, technical, superior-than-thou "professional"). I'm looking forward to her challenge and will blog about my experiences (including my favorite photos each week) here.
